We did not know that when we bought it last year and he suffered a concussion when a foul ball BROKE one of the welds that hold the bars together. I took one shot and it caved in the right side of the mask. Personally, I would not trust this mask and ANY level.
If your looking for a replacement, Diamond just came out with a new mask that is one of the lightest on the market (and does NOT sacrifice saftey). Also, All-Star has a really light double bar mask (the bars are really thin) and a few of the big leaguers have switched to it.

The new Diamond is great! At least five of our local group have broken the POS ZG mask (They will not warranty anything except the pads) have switched to either the Diamond or Wilson/Davis.
