WARNING: I, along with another umpire, work college and independent minor league baseball and the Zero Gravity is not indicated for that caliber of baseball. In fact, the *****y lady that now owns the place (I forget her name) said the mask is basically aluminum and should not be used for anything higher than high school.
We did not know that when we bought it last year and he suffered a concussion when a foul ball BROKE one of the welds that hold the bars together. I took one shot and it caved in the right side of the mask. Personally, I would not trust this mask and ANY level.
If your looking for a replacement, Diamond just came out with a new mask that is one of the lightest on the market (and does NOT sacrifice saftey). Also, All-Star has a really light double bar mask (the bars are really thin) and a few of the big leaguers have switched to it.
