I just heard Joe Morgan say to Chris Berman during the ESPN Cubs/Cards game that because they were using 3 umpires (Ed Montague's flight was delayed) that the umpires will be rotating either clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on whether it was a right or left handed batter.
I nearly fell out of my chair.
I did fall out of it after hearing how he knew this "mechanic."
I turns out Joe Morgan used to umpire him some baseball while in college for extra money.
I feel really sorry for all the players in all of his games.
I think Chris Berman didn't believe him because he asked "Really?" 3 or 4 times, with Morgan insisting that it was true!
