WHAT? Who in the world said that ball four was an immediate dead ball? Again, is my filter on? Am I missing something? Have I been sucked into a vortex?
Ball four is not a dead ball situation anymore than strike three - unless it's a HBP. Live ball, runners advance if forced or may advance at their own peril.
