I think he allowed 1 run in 6 innings. Not bad. I think everyone involved would have been happy if choices 1 thru 3 had performed just as well.
Marmol certainly wasn't complaining, even though he knew he was at best the 4th choice.
First choice or third choice the replacements made the list, made their mark, made their point.
