We've had this line of questioning!
This was the decision 'round here-

An ambedextrous pitcher is actually TWO pitchers.
When and if he switches, he may not switch back.
When and if he swiches, he will be permitted warm-up pitches.
When and if he switches, he will be permitted two additional mound visits.

It was determined for whatever reason that each arm is a seperate pitching entity.

Given this 'ruling', yeah, a kid could extend his innings per week! But again, that was just what was decided upon locally.
