No pitcher must leave the rosin bag for the other team to use, under any set of softball rules; if she does, it is a courtesy, or simply too lazy to pick the bag up. If the opposing pitcher wants a rosin bag, she or her team can provide their own.

NCAA requires each team to remove their "resin bag" each half inning.
