Maybe my point was lost in sarcasm.

If the umpires are in agreement that there was ONE out, and no one said anything, not the score keepers, the coaches, the fan's, Aunt Mabel at the hot dog stand, then maybe there was only ONE out!!!

Now, between innings the umpires are shooting the breeze at the backstop. One says to the other.."Hey Smitty, I think we really had 2 outs before the strike out last inning". And the other says, " You know Charlie, I think you're right!!". Now you are saying they should cancel the run and correct the "error" that no one else seemed to catch?
