Just be careful when you call it. According to the FED case book, a ball is not considered "lodged" until the player removes the glove. Case given is a pitcher who gets the ball "lodged" in his webbing, and tries unsuccessfuly to remove it 2 times, but finally gets it out the 3rd try. This according to the case book is not a "lodged" ball, the the play continue...don't kill it "immediately" as the rule book dictates.
