About a month ago, I checked a book out from the early 60's about the art of sports officiating. Some of the odd (
) things under basketball were:
-No 3-pt lane, and the FT circle was wider than the lane.
-Jump balls on all tie-ups.
-Whistles were to be held in the hand at all times, not carried in the mouth.
-Really weird mechanics for switching, if they switched at all (I would have to look for that one).
