This exact situation is something that I like to include in the pre-game. In this situation, the L is oftentimes to close to the play to have a good perspective on the "flagrant foul" decision. If I'm C or T and I think it's a flagrant, I'm coming strong with the signal. I think it's wise to mirror the flagrant signal - if one has it, then at least two should signal the flagrant. It's an easier discussion w/ the coach ("coach, I understand you disagree with that call, however both my partner and I thought it was a flagrant; you'll get the same call at the other end...").
I'd prefer not to have a conference on this, but if we have to, then OK.
