2006 BIG EAST CONFERENCE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OFFICIALS’ CAMP

July 22 - 24, 2006 Fairfax, VA An Evaluation Camp held in the Fairfax, VA area. Officials will be assigned to games for the U. S. Junior National Tournament - a highly competitive tournament for college prospects. CAMP PURPOSE ? To give officials exposure to women’s basketball coordinators of officials at the collegiate level and enhance their opportunity to be seen. ? Offer officials instruction related to the mechanics and interpretations of collegiate women’s basketball with an emphasis on three person mechanics. CAMP STAFF The Camp will be directed by Barbara Jacobs, Assistant Commissioner for The BIG EAST Conference and Coordinator of Officiating for the America East Conference. There will also be coordinators from other Division I conferences in attendance who will be evaluating officials. Staff will include Top Officials from The BIG EAST Conference and America East Conference EQUIPMENT NEEDED Black & White Shirts ? Black Shorts or Black Pants ? Blank Video Tape CAMP WILL INCLUDE ? T-Shirt ? 3 officiating assignments per full day ? Floor Evaluation ? Classroom Session ? Video taping of your officiating (you provide tape) CAMP SCHEDULE ? July 22 , 8:00 p.m. Mandatory Camp Meeting ? July 23 & 24 Officiate Games COST Cost of the camp is $250 REGISTRATION To register, please fill out the application and return to the address listed below.
