Drain well, easy to maintain. Double batting cages, big gates to get stuff in & out.

Don't spend a lot of money on frills.

Depending on grading requirements & soil, expect to spend $125 - $150,000 if on school property. (I would expect much of the infrastructure requirements such as power, water, sewage, etc would be in place or close to the construction location).

Otherwise, $150 - $200,000 without lights. Add $35 - $50,000 for HS/College quality lighting.

These estimates would include the field w/irrigation, sod in infield, seed in outfield, fencing, etc. Above ground dugouts, two batting cages, small snack stand, restrooms & seating for 100 or so.
