This would be a "common personal foul", not a shooting foul. The basket would not count since the ball became dead as soon as the foul occurred, and the normal provision allowing for a ball to remain live during a try does not apply to the wrong basket. This is because a "try" is defined as "an attempt by a player to score...by throwing the ball into a team's own basket."
