Legal NFHS, NCAA. Illegal NBA.
For the pass. If the player doesn't move the pivot foot = nothing.
If the pivot is moved and the ball doesn't hit the floor = illegal dribble (not a travel)
If the pivot is moved and the ball does hit the floor = a dribble and
a. is legal if the player hasn't yet used his dribble.
b. is a double dribble violation if he has.
