Who is "we", and who or what organization is doing that teaching?
]"We" are the umpires in our ASA/NFHS association being taught by our in-house instructors.
ASA is not teaching this as a standard mechanic. It is recognized as a possibility and sometimes encouraged, but not as the standard, must-always-happen-this-way mechanic.
