On one slo-mo replay you could see the bat come to a stop when it made contact with the ball. Thus the bat and batter absorbed some of the energy of the 64mph pitch, but the ball still made it over the fence.
Eight HRs off two of the best pitchers in college ball. Must be that cool California air!
