I would have handled it one of two ways.
Go to your partner and quietly say, "That's not your call. It's my call and he didn't violate. Now, do you want to go to the table and change it?"
OR
As mick said, let him die with.
Chances are he'll never do it again either way.
But you can't change it, even if you are the R.
