Congratulations on your fund raising activities. My association does something similar. We have an annual tournament called "Bookjammin" where we have 8 boys teams and 8 girls teams. Most of the teams are local, but 2 years ago, we had 2 teams from NYC. Our officials donate their reffing (is this a word?) and we also do the book, clock, ticket sales, etc. The food for the hospitality room is donated by a couple of good resturants and each team member receives a "Bookjammin" T-shirt. Over the past 6 years, we have provided close to $100K in scholarships. We usually award 5 or 6 scholarships and team student trainers/managers are also eligible. We award the scholarships during the Regional finals which are held at George Mason University. This year our tournament is scheduled for 27-29 Dec. We really have a good time at the tournament and it gives us a chance to give something back to the schools.
