However, there's a running clock in this league, so the clock continues to run even when a ball is taken out of bounds. My guess is still that you must pass the ball to a player inbounds and then she can shoot, right?
9-2-7 Throw-in Provisions : Art. 7 - "A player shall not throw the ball so it enters the basket before it touches or is touched by another player."
