OK.
Never means not ever, not even for the heck of it.
The players are the people wearing the shorts & tank tops with numbers on them.
So what I mean to say is do not ever ask those people who the foul is on.
If you mean why, the answer is simple. It aint the player's job to know, they'll most likely lie to you and on top of that you'll look foolish when the captain tells his coach you're just making it up. And any coach worth his salt will drill you a new one for letting the players decide. And he'll be right of course.
Better to ask your partner, best if you always stick around long enough to know it yourself.
