I'm rather new, but I have heard the same thing. And it seemed to be mentioned at the ref camp I went to this summer. I would only call it if it was an obvious fake that was really dramatic - a simple movement back as if they were hit would probably get a no-call from me. The only problem I can see is a large reaction from the coach, like "He didn't do nuttin!". Not that that affects our calls or anything!
