Hypothetical but I suppose it could happen:
B1 is shooting the first of 2. Coach A has all his players by his bench for a pep-talk. When told he needs to give you 2 players to occupy the spots for free-throws, he says he wants to talk to his players. As officials, could you go ahead and shoot the first, if B1 misses, he automatically gets another try at the first free throw?
I don't have any books with me to look it up and the other thread made me think of this senerio.
