Great change! I really love the 2 half system and feel that the game definately flows better. 8 minutes is just too short of a time to require a break/time-out. My games have not ended any later due to the 4 extra minutes.
The only advantage I see to the quarter system, is being able to connect with your fellow officials about anything that needs a quick discussion, otherwise I say play on!
