BTW, what exactly is meant by "during the course of play"? Does the ball have to be live?
I still don't think that the new violation only applies during a live ball. I believe that the NFHS only HIGHLIGHTED that aspect of the new violation in the comments section. The wording in the Rules Book seems to be more inclusive.
