The girls basketball team from the home of Mick the Moderator won the Michigan High School State Class C championship yesterday. The Houghton Gremlins from the U.P. beat the heavily-favored Michigan Center team by 50-44.
Mick was quoted as saying "Watching the girls win was almost as much fun as watching a fellow official drive a front-end loader over a 70 foot cliff.
Congratulations go to the home-town lady Gremlins.
