Why didn't this coach also get a T?

It is likely, that this set the bar that the other coach did not even reach.

As for working with inexperienced partners.

Talk whenever you get a chance during the game.

Do not start reffing the entire floor. Expand your coverage some, but only reach for stuff that needs to be called, and talk about the rest when you get the chance. Keep the game safe, but don't become robo ref.
