Hello,

I am a new official with no games under my belt. My question is, does anyone know of any good floor mechanics training material I can get my hands on?

I passed the NFHS exam and have joined my local association. While all the officials in the association have experience, I do not and would like to learn proper floor positioning and mechanics.

I mentioned to our rules interpreter that I would like to observe some of the officials during their assigned scrimmages. He took my information and never contacted me. So, I figured, instead of waiting for a call/email, I'll begin my training with the proper material.

Any advice or assistance someone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and have a nice Thanksgiving....

Referee Magazine (www.referee.com) has a couple of good books, one for 2-Man, one for 3-Man. They also offer smaller books for working Trail, Lead and Center.
