Here in Phoenix, we consider our "season" over in August with the conclusion of ASA nationals.
Fall tournaments and leagues begin in the middle of September and run up until a couple weeks before Christmas.
Some weekend tournaments will run in January and February, there are also clinics and meetings for the HS season which starts at the end of February. HS runs through the first part of May, then comes the heavy travel ball season thru July, then Nationals.
This timetable is only for youth fastpitch....I don't think the adult slowpitch leagues ever stop playing!
