Cool

I thought it was classy for tonights WS crew to wear Charlie Williams initials on their uniforms!

"Throughout the course of the 2005 World Series, all umpires will wear a special patch with the initials "C.W." inscribed. This tribute will honor former Major League umpire Charlie Williams who passed away on September 12th. Williams, who served on the Major League staff from 1982 to 2001, became the first African-American umpire to work behind home plate in a World Series game during Game 4 of the 1993 Fall Classic. Diana Williams, Mr. Williams' wife of 26 years, will be in attendance at U.S. Cellular Field for Game 1 of the World Series as a special guest of Major League Baseball."

Did you guys pick up on this during the game?

Tim.
