In the above sitch, A will decline the hold (to allow the TD to count). A must decide now to accept or decline the UR.

Decline:
If A scores on the convert, they win. If A does not score, go to OT.

Accept:
Half the distance on the try (from the 5 to the 2.5) OR 15 on the ensuing kick-off, OR 15 to start the OT period. Whatever their choice is, they cannot revoke it after the result of the convert is known.

Half the distance:
No real advantage here.

Kick-Off:
If you think you can score a rouge on the kick-off, choose the kick-off.

Overtime:
If you DO NOT think you can score a rouge on the kick-off, choose overtime.
