This is an appeal play. The defense must appeal to you that the runner left the base without tagging up.
If the defensive team does not say anything to you, they either a)were not paying attention, or b)are poorly coached. Or both, in some cases.
If no appeal is made by the defense prior to the next pitch, you don't do anything. Count the run and play on.
