I never said Boston would win the series. (Obviously, I hoped they would, but that wasn't the point of the post.) I only said that any of the other 3 AL teams would want the White Sox in the first round. That was b/c of Chicago's
perceived weakness.
Even White Sox supporters have to admit that the Chicago didn't play spectacular baseball. But the Red Sox sure did stink up the joint. Pitching wasn't there, and the defense was completely on vacation.
