So in my game last night I had something really stupid happen to me.
Had a good game, both teams 4-0, ranked in the top 3 of their respective class. It was also the Kansas City Star GOTW; second week in a row our crew worked the Star GOTW.
Anyway, running back to the LOS after incomplete pass. I called for a new ball from the ballboy and he threw it a little behind me. I reached back with my left hand, caught it, and brought it in. Out of the corner of my eye, something glittered, and then clinked on the grass field. Yep, my wedding ring. Couldn't find it for the life of me. Right after, the ballboys, coaches, and a few other officials helped me look.
I had to rent a metal detector and drive the 45 minutes back up to the field to find the stupid thing. Luckily I knew the general area where it fell off.
Moral of the story, leave it in the locker room. Or don't loose weight!
