Another thing you might consider,is to find
a veteran umpire in your area that you can relate to,
and trust. Ask him to help you along the way, to be
your "mentor".
The right mentor can be invaluable to your progress
in the avocation.
And remember, the more games you work,the more
you learn from your experiences,good or bad.
