In Canada, you can go half the distance (from the 5), or the full 15 on the KO.

Lots of us working under the NF code have problems with it, too. It's certainly not the only problem, even. This one, I hope, will be corrected soon. I'm not sure it will be, though - NFHS doesn't seem eager to give options on penalty enforcements.

These scenarios involve the same concept as "half the distance" penalties. Personal foul on defense at the 5-yd line results in 2 1/2 yds of penalty, whereas on the offense it is 15 yds. What are ya gonna do?
