If you hang on the ring after a dunk and you're not preventing an injury, it's a "T". Straight judgement call. I must be missing something. What's so difficult about that?
My point was, and still is, that a foul occurring isn't really a part of the criteria used to determine whether a "T" should be called or not. The
only criteria used is "preventing an injury".
