Just a couple of things I'd like to add;

George, you said this was coed? They acted like this in front of their wives/girlfriends/female players? WOW!

Here in my area, ballparks have reputations. Some allow the players to run the show and umpires will get MF'd several times a night. Some fields say that if it offends the umpire, he needs to handle it according to the rules (I have worked there and choose to not go back). The fields I work at are ZERO TOLERANCE and I will tell you, we have the most courteous teams in probably the whole city. They are very competitive but you have zero complaining or arguing.

You really need to follow thru to the fullest. Don't let this turkey get away with anything and definately don't let them chase you away from what you enjoy doing. Whenever you decide to come back, someone might try and test you, hopefully you will deal with it professionally and according to the rules so that your reputation will stay intact.
