He's now banned from the league. Strange thing tho is that the league denies knowing who he is....

Hmmm. "Although we did ban the player, we don't know who he is." Yes, that is rather strange.

They called me today to do a playoff tonight but I'm supposed to rest and heal.

I just declined a Sunday playoff game in a modified league where the last time I worked (2 years ago) I had to boot two guys off the premises. One had threatened me; the other had flung his bat against the backstop and called me a bunch of foul names. I was the regular ump in that league, and both guys were suspended for 2 weeks. However, I felt that the sanctions should have been more severe, so I now refuse to go back there.

The guy who struck you should be charged with assault and battery the same as if he had hit you on the street.
