IMO, the game went the way political correctness when we became to sensitive and lawyers began to sue for negligence or criminal indifference of a league "for not enforcing the rules." I will never agree with ejecting a pitcher from beaming a batter when the batter deserves it. I will enforce the rule, however, I will not agree with it.

If a batter knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that a pitcher had the ability to beam him, there is no way he will slide high and hard to break up the double play, talk smack, or any number of stupid childish acts we have all seen. A player can do almost anything w/o regard to consequence and itÂ’s my opinion that this a led to the game to played by whinnying little pukes and not men that respect the game.
