Passionate he was!

But, as you say, he was right on with his comments.

A lot of his criticism revolved around the number of travels that were missed. Generally, it was the dribbler moving his pivot foot before the ball was put on the floor. One of our players has a bad habit of "stepping into his shot". He was pretty passionate about that being missed, too.

Insterestingly, the next day, we played a game with a completely different set of referees, and I bet they called 15 travels.

I also saw, for the first time, a violation called for a player running out of bounds to get around a pick.

It was funny to see referees hanging out together, swapping stories. It was cool to think all those people were working so hard to improve their game.
