And Kerry Wood is also rejoining the team on Friday. Is he going right back into the rotation, or doing a bullpen stint, a la Schilling?

As it looks now, the Cubs will get Nomar, Wood, and Scott Williamson all off the DL on Friday or Sat. Since Wood and Williamson (former rookie of the year) will be in the bullpen, it's a little like the Cubs making a big trade without giving anyone up. And it appears definite Wood will be in the bullpen. And, JR, you said he will be back on the DL after 20 pitches - you missed a decimal point. It's 200 pitches. Which means he won't be back on until late Aug.
It will be interesting to see how he handles it, after being a starter his whole career. At least he has Mike Remlinger to ask for tips.
It will also be fun to see what trades, (if any) happen by tonight.
