To clarify "the record," Rafael Palmiero plays for the Baltimore Orioles, and last night he got his 3,000th hit. To put it in perspective for those of you who aren't big on baseball, Palmiero is only the 26th player in the history of baseball to get that many hits iin the course of his career.

What makes it Palmiero's accomplishment even more amazing is that he is one of only four men to have 3,000 career hits and 500 career home runs. The other three? Just a few no-names - Eddie Murray, Willie Mays, and Hank Aaron.

As to the conversation, cherish every word you get at that age - particularly if your son is like Jeremy!
