I appreciate your mass of information regarding this nasty situation. Without predjudice or malice aforethought, I hope some closure to this mess comes soon.

I have a problem understanding how people think in terms of allowing players to play with the lame excuse that whatever they submit as evidence of birth date must be official. I find it mind boggling that facts are not recorded at birth, and in fact marvel at the length of time allowed to record them years later.

I don't know of any way, other than relying on complete honesty by the league officials to keep this situation
from happening more often.
