Have heard of this happening but have never seen it or called it and have never heard of it happening twice in one game. I was on the bases high school varsity game. My partner calls strike three when the batter was hit. Third base Coach questions it and we play on with no problems. A couple of innings go by and the same thing happens. This time the third base coach admitted that his batter leaned into the pitch. What makes this even more remarkable is that it happened to the same batter twice in one game! This is now my favorite war story.
