I heard everything from the catchers "rights" all the way to my misinterpertation to the sky is green as the reason I got that call wrong.
IMO the catcher impeded the progress of the runner. Please tell me I got this right, if not please tell me what i did wrong.

I couldn't tell if you are right or wrong, just that something seems strange.

The catcher goes up the line (assume foul territory) and the runnner goes around her.

This is where I'm having a problem visualizing this play. The catcher heading one way has the runner passing her in the opposite direction. Now, F2 catches the ball, stops, reverses direction and gets up enough speed to catch the runner and tags her out prior to reaching the plate.

That is one helluva athletic catcher or R1 was on crutches.

BTW, I hope that you signaled OBS when the runner changed course and not at the end of the play. Not saying you didn't, just the way the scenario reads.
