Mike,

I tend to disagree with you on the substitution rule. Starters were already allowed to re-enter which meant that subs could be burned as a pinch runner standing on 2nd while the side struck out. By allowing the sub to reenter, at least you give them another chance to get into the game. Also by allowing a team that is playing shorthanded to put a late arriving player into the lineup, you give a girl who had another school commitment to at least get into part of the game instead of watching from the bench.
