Little League Situation: batter hits a two strike foul pop up toward and near the 3rd base dugout. The third baseman gets his glove on the ball in foul territory only to have it pop out of his glove and bounce off the fence. Before the ball hits the ground he manages to catch it with his bare hand. The batter was called out.

Our interpretation is that once the ball hit the fence off the glove in foul territory, it is a dead ball, period. It would appear that it is no different than a 3rd strike foul tip that glances off the catchers glove hits the backstop and is caught before it reaches the ground - DEAD BALL - or a foul-tipped third strike that glances off the catcher's glove, shin guard up in the air and is caught. That is still a dead ball, no?
