Now I don't know jack about baseball rules, but I had this thought. If that catch had been over the outfield fence in fair territory instead of in foul ground down the line, is it an out or a homerun?
The kid makes the catch but lands over the fence.

As I understand it, if you catch the ball before it hits the ground, and demonstrate control, it is an out. Where you are standing, or rolling, or tumbling, makes no difference to that rule.

In this case, it makes no difference as long as the fielder doesn't last touch (leave the ground) from dead ball territory (other side of the fence) before the catch.
