We dont have that many Umpires in New Zealand and generally we only Umpire at Senior level mens and womens .
Very rarely except for national tournaments do we venture to juniors .
You do have to know the rotations and I have been told worry about your own rotation so SWFLguy the plate Umpire was the guy at fault .
You started the rotation , the PU moves up to cover 3rd and th 1st base moves to cover home .
If the PU doesnt move neither can the 1st Base .
More importantly we dont even get PAID .
We do it for the love of the game but it would be nice to get some compensation .
